More About Me

Joshua brings more than 22 years of real estate experience to Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Greater Providence Board of Realtors.

From trading baseball cards as a boy to closing contracts on home sales, Joshua has a passion for making deals and connecting with clients. He found the thrill of real estate in 2002, and fine-tuned his real estate knowledge and professional skills as an agent in a boutique real estate firm in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Longing to return to his New England roots, in 2008 he relocated to Providence, RI. He later founded The Rhode Guide Real Estate Co., and opened an office on Hope Street in 2013. In 2020, he merged his company with Mott & Chace Sotheby’s International Realty to broaden his presence and offer his clients more extensive services.

He loves bringing his creative eye and keen design sense to help his clients imagine the potential to make any home uniquely theirs. He is a skilled fine art photographer [www.JoshuaDeaner.com] who has exhibited around the world. He’s an experienced home renovator and has been highlighted on ApartmentTherapy.com and featured on HGTV.  Additionally, Joshua is a real estate investor who owns and manages a three-family property on Providence’s East Side. Some of his projects, including that property, can be viewed here: [www.HeartOnOurSleeve.com].

Joshua makes his home on the East Side of Providence with his wife and son. They love exploring Rhode Island for the best cafes, restaurants and antique shops. The family also enjoys getting away to their country home in Little Compton, RI, which he recently renovated and rents out on Airbnb. [www.LittleComptonModern.com

Joshua would love to learn more about you and your real estate needs and invites you to meet at one of his favorite cafes -or yours - (with his compliments, of course). He looks forward to hearing from you.
